If I can classify the Summer holidays that most people take annually, then that. If just a day, then Christmas. It’s because it signals a time when I have enough free time to watch a heap of films, and the biggest Oscar contenders come out during that time too :)

♙ Would you rather relive your worst memory or face your biggest fear?
Face my biggest fear. I’m not going to tell you my worst memory, but my biggest fear is being aloe and unloved. But I feel that it’s something that, given time, I could live with. So yes, face my biggest fear.
Biggest annoyance about people on Tumblr? Nothing offend top of my head. In fact, I’ve been thinking about this for a day. Rude Anons would be my first response, but anons need not have Tumblr, so I dunno really.
Sorry for such a shit answer. It’s the best I can think of.
I have a whole web series about the Joker developing in my head. Problem is, it’s exam time. I’ve got the Pilot episode playing in my head right now. And it’d be a continuation from my origins film. So it would be like from when he begins to live as the Joker, and continue on from there. Thing is, I’d only be able to go up to the events of The Dark Knight because my Joker belongs in Nolan’s universe. I’ve got an actor friend in mind, but chances are he’ll either be too busy or not interested. MHS guys and MacRob will know him. He got the lead in Antigone, Oklahoma and Hamlet.
We’ll see. I’ll have to write it first. Perhaps I’ll write the first couple of episodes on Wednesday - my English tutor said “no study on Wednesday, just relax” so I’ll write then :D

Ladies and Gentlemen, I ask you to raise your wands. Raise your wands in the memory of an actor, who did a marvelous job. Raise your wands in the memory of a man, who brought the magic to life. Raise your wands in the memory of the first person ever to appear in a Harry Potter movie. Raise your wands in the memory of Richard Harris ... 9 years to the day. You're not forgotten. Rest in Peace, Richard.
Every time something happened, I thought “that’s the last time this’ll happen where I’m a school student”
Like walking to the train station. Sitting down on the morning train (in uniform and as a school student). Looking over annoyed at the loud year 10s in the carriage. Changing platforms at Richmond. Getting a hot chocolate from the café. Walking that path down to school. Walking into the gates. Standing at the front steps. Sitting in the hallowed Memorial Hall. Singin the national anthem. Listening to the principal speak. Listen to the school captain introduce people. Singing the school song.
And then I had to say goodbye to my two favorite teachers this year. And that’s when the tears started to flow. Saying goodbye to all t friends who have stuck with me, and tolerated my incredibly annoying behavior for four years. And the sadness of knowing that one of the guys you felt so close to in year 9 now hates you. Man that was the low point, really. Realizing that with some people, it is too late to make amends.
I had some very touching messages on the two shirts I got signed. I can’t believe that these people, people who I thought hated me and merely put up with me over the four years, actually seemed to care for me. I am tearing up right now - it was the last time I’ll see many of them (excluding Speech Night and Valedictory, but you know what I mean)… It’s hard to say goodbye to everyone and everything you’ve grown up with over the past 4 years.
Probably the moment which got me was walking out of the gates, turning around, and giving it one last look. There, and from the very front of the school. I realized I had finally left the Castle on the Hill. It can no longer protect me from the difficulties of life. I’ve finally transitioned into something else. A young man, thrown into the world, excited, optimistic and ready to take on every challenge that presents itself.
I know that forty years on, I’ll look back on this experience and smile. It was an amazing ride. But it’s all just the beginning.
So join me, and confront our fates - preferably a version of fate in which we all succeed. The journey of high school is over. The journey of life is yet to begin.
PS - it was great to see a photo of my favorite teacher wen he was 18. Cocky, white tux, and I must say, rather handsome. He even had a head full of hair! He’s awesome for showing what I assume was a pretty embarrassing photo in front of 350 boys.
Fain would we linger, but youth turns to manhood..
today was my last day as a school student. And what better place to end your secondary schooling than Melbourne High? The hours flew swiftly, whether we were working, or hysterical having fun. It was a blur. It seems like only yesterday that we were timid teenage boys in massively oversized blazers, sitting in the magnificent Memorial Hall, listening to our principal talk to us about the importance of a well-rounded experience, and how we should behave in such a way that we leave our Mark on the school. We did the best we could, for four years. We couldn’t have done any better. But there’s only good things to come. We’ve been blessed with the best education in the state. And we must treat it like a shrine, guard it. And perhaps, if we’re lucky, we may win fame. Our goals and our visions have been a guiding lamp, lit by learning (I.e. What we’ve learnt here). And I can say, without doubt, what we’ve learnt in these past four years have been well beyond just academics. We haven’t just learnt how to achieve high marks… We’ve also learnt to be true men, in every sense of the word.
Strong like it’s pillars, the school has stood behind us for four amazing years.
But school days have passed, and we must away.
And don’t forget, MHS Class of 2011 - Honour The Work and the work will honour you.
Oh I remember another awesome little thing that happened yesterday
In the afternoon, I got on a train that was quite empty. So I sat down and someone in the little section in front of me was reading a book. She was cute (I think she was in uni) and there was an old man next to her. That guy suddenly started to snore ridiculously loudly. I looked over, the girl and I made eye contact and we both grinned. I swear we looked at each other for a few solid seconds. But I mitt me wrong.
